Proteins are composed of amino acids.

  • Increased Thermogenesis: higher-protein diets are associated with increased thermogenesis, which also influences satiety and increases energy expenditure, meaning your body uses more energy to digest protein than fat or carbs.
  • Increase in Muscle Mass: higher protein diets increase muscle anabolism thereby improving your metabolic profile, meaning it helps you to grow more muscle which increases your metabolism and fat loss
